Foil Silver 0.999

Booklet of 25 sheets of pure silver foil. This is an Italian brand of lampworking & fusing foil. The silver is pure 0.999 which is compatible with glass, sterling silver is not compatible it will blacken and have none of the desired reactive effects that pure silver can create.

Lampworking uses:

1. Wrap your bead in silver foil and burnish. Keep it at the very back of the flame. Encase in multiple transparent colours
2. Wrap your gather in silver foil and burnish. Reheat in the working part of the flame and burn off silver. Pull gather into a stringer

Fusing uses:

Cut into shapes, punch between two sheets of paper using scrapbooking punches, lay in between sheets of glass, haven't had much luck with foil on the top layer but lots of success tucking it between glass layers. Typically it will fume all white and transparent pink glass to a warm apricot colour. Will fume a bronze halo around shape on transparent aqua glass. Will leave a dark outline around the shape when on opaque red.
